Surgical Histopathology

The department of pathology is in close proximity to the OPD. In addition to conventional histopathology and cytology studies, frozen section facilities are also available. A team of dedicated pathologists working. In this awards four consecutive times in histopathology at the slides seminar in the state conference (MAPCON).

Frozen Section
Frozen sections are done with Cryostat Machines which are primary used to perform rapid microscopic analysis of the tissue. Rapid intra- operative consultation with frozen section are commonly useful in diagnosis, margin status and intra-operative decision for extension or adequacy of surgery.
