A blood centre is an integral part of any hospital and more so in a cancer centre. The blood centre supplies safe and good quality blood and blood components to patients within the hospital as well as at other hospitals. Services are oered round the clock. The blood centre is licensed by the Drug Controller General of India.
Ours was the first blood centre to oer components in this region. It has two separately designed cell separators (Amicus and Heamonetics) to provide apheresis platelets. (It is a high quality product in full therapeutic dose, which also decreases multiple donor exposure.)
