This is a unique department headed by a Uro- Oncologist who has been trained from reputed institutes in India and the United Kingdom, established the Department of Uro- Oncology to under take the treatment of the entire spectrum of urological cancers which include cancers of kidney, ureter, bladder, prostate, testis and penis.

The Department also undertakes work on adrenal lesions, retroperitoneal tumours and paediatric urological tumours. In kidney cancer, the work load consists of radical nephrectomy( ), with thrombus excision, RN RN IVC nephron sparing surgery and nephroureterectomies. In bladder cancer, we have expert endo-urological treatment for superficial bladder cancer and have a large in travesical BCG programme. Radical cystectomy is routinely performed in the Department of Uro-Oncology. Retroperitoneal LN dissection( ) and post chemos are RPLND routinely done here with excellent results
